Fluorescent, Reflective Clothing for Cycling

When you or your children are out on your bikes you may not realise how difficult it can be for drivers to see you. Responsible drivers will often slow down for cyclists and give plenty of room; the sooner they see you, the more time they have to react safely. At night, reflective materials mean you can be seen three seconds sooner - it could save your life.

Even in good light conditions, the sooner you can be seen, the better. Sun can dazzle, hedges can camouflage and other road users can distract drivers from seeing you so fluorescent colours are important

When cycling home from work as daylight is fading the best option is a high visibility waistcoat - the fluorescent colours show up whilst it is still daylight and the reflective strips make you visible once it’s dark and drivers have their lights on.
