Environment PolicyThis Environment Policy outlines the ways in which we try to improve our environment and minimise any negative environmental impact of our business activities. 1. Our Office Environmental Policy states staff should: - Only print when necessary
- Reuse and recycle as much paper and packaging as possible.
- Recycle all used ink cartridges
- Where possible, purchase refurbished IT equipment.
- Ensure all old IT equipment is disposed of in an ecologically sound way, where possible donated to a IT refurbishing company or other user.
- Turn off equipment when not in use.
- Purchase recycled products whenever possible.
- Not use disposable cups or plates.
2. Our Work Travel Plan outlines ways to minimise car use by staff, suppliers and visitors and promote sustainable travel. 3. Many of our fabric and material off-cuts are used in our School High Visibility Resource Packs. 4. During product development and marketing activities the environmental aspects of the manufacture, packaging and eventual disposal of our products is assessed and taken into account. For example we ask our suppliers to reduce packaging where possible. 5. Our ‘local supplier policy’ means products are sourced as locally as possible, minimising transportation of goods. 6. Every six months staff are asked for suggested improvements and feedback on this policy and it is reviewed accordingly. |
