Print Options Help: Examples and FAQs
We can add Your Logo or Design to our waistcoats, bags and hats (minimum order just 10). Alternatively for lower cost, faster turnaround and no minimum order, you can order one of our Popular Prints designs.
To order either type, put the unprinted items in your basket and add printing as a separate item to your basket. There are no set up charges. If we're printing your logo or design we'll be in touch to get your artwork sorted and then make sure you are happy with layout and terms. If you prefer to phone us we'll be happy to help.
Suppose you want to order 10 BrightKidz waistcoats (mixed sizes and colours) and 2 Adult BrightSportz waistcoats all with your organisation or sponsor's full colour logo on the back.
You would add the unprinted waistcoats to your basket and then add 12 of the "Large Custom Print" product to your basket. We will then contact you to sort out the artwork, check artwork suitability and send you a layout for approval before printing.
You want to order 5 high vis baseball caps with the word 'Buddy' printed on the front
Add the 5 caps to your basket and then add 5 of the "Small Popular Print" product to your basket, selecting design "Buddy text". We will print and send the caps to you. You will not need to approve the layout as this is a standard design.
Q. Can I have my school logo printed in colour?
A. Yes. We can print in single colour or full colour, usually for the same price.
Q. Will I be charged extra for set up, origination or screens?
A. No; as long as your image is suitable everything is included, even delivery within the UK. (VAT is shown separately in your 'basket' and on your invoice). The only other possible charges are for artwork editing if required and optional extras such as reflective printing or individual names.
Q. How long does printing take?
A. It varies. Usually allow 3-4 weeks. If you need items urgently for an event please advise when ordering and we will let you know if it is possible... as printing can sometimes be much quicker. We will advise you on expected delivery time once you have sent us your images.
Q.Can I have other items such as reflectors printed with a message?
A. Yes, but please contact us as the information here is for printing on waistcoats, bags and hats only - different prices and terms apply for printing on other items.
Q.What is the minimum order for having my logo printed on?
A.The minimum order for custom printing is 10 prints.
Q.Can I have printing on the front and back of my waistcoats?
A. Yes. Select 'large and small print' as an item to purchase. This is charged the same as two small items (as a special offer).
Q.What sort of image do I need to send?
A. A high res jpeg (JPG) image is usually adequate if the print is going to be the same size. If you want the image expanded or edited we will need a vector image (Illustrator or eps file) to keep the image quality. Drawings can sometimes be scanned by us and used.
Q. How will I know if the image is good enough?
A. If you want to order printed items, send us your image (eg jpeg) and we will advise you if it is suitable. If it needs some editing we will advise you on time, cost, if editing is possible or alternative solutions. It is important to have a good image as the final result depends on this, especially if the image is being expanded for printing.
Q. Can you print text only?
A.Yes, if required. You would need to send us the text in digital format (eg email). We can print in a range of standard fonts, a choice of colours and can advise on layout. Please ask.
Q. Can you print in reflective silver?
A.Yes, we can print text and simple shapes in reflective silver for extra night time visibility. This is particularly good for the back of high vis waistcoats. Due to higher material costs an additional charge may apply. Please ask.
Q.Can you print children's names on products?
A.Yes we can. We can print individual names on bags (minimum 30) alone or alongside a school logo if you supply the names in a Word document (or similar). We cannot yet take this kind of order online so please get in touch for information on charges, artwork and to order.
Q. Can BrightKidz prepare a layout so we can see what it will look like before we decide to order?
A.Sorry, no. Although we can advise on image suitability, we can only prepare layouts once we have a confirmed order. If you then cancel that order a charge for our preparation work may be made.
Q. What happens if I change my mind after printing?
A. Sorry. We can only refund custom printed orders if they are faulty or supplied in error as they are exempt from our 14 day money back guarantee. If you are ordering printed items you can see an unprinted sample on request and we will only print once you have approved the layout.
Q.Can I get school discounts for printed items?
A.We offer discounts for schools, public authorities and youth organisations for all our actual products but print prices are the same for everyone as they are an additional charge. Make sure you have registered for discounts if you represent one of these groups!
Q. Is it cheaper for a repeat order?
A. If you are re-ordering the same printing as before there is usually a slight reduction in cost; please mention when ordering if it is a repeat order.
